With all the different options available for our Seat Crates, we know that it can be difficult to know which one to choose. This article will guide you through the different options, so you end up with exactly the right Seat Crate.
Our Seat Crates are wonderfully flexible, providing not only an additional seat around the home, but doubling as a storage solution or as a low table. With that in mind, here are four steps to getting the most out of your Seat Crate!
Step 1: Choose your size
Our Seat Crates come in three sizes; Apple, Midi and Double.
The Apple Crate Seats are the smallest of the three, measuring just 29.5 cm in height – plus the thickness of the cushion you choose (more on that below) – which makes it a perfect footrest or low stool.
Our Midi Crates provide a bit more height, measuring 42cm without a cushion. This makes it a great additional seat in the living room, sitting comfortably alongside your other chairs.
Finally, the Double Crate measures an impressive 53.5cm. This height is ideal for taller members of the family to sit on, and it also doubles brilliantly as an additional table.
As the Seat Crates are still crates, and therefore perfect for storing things in, the size you choose will also provide varying amounts of storage space. We therefore recommend you spend some time thinking about what you might want to keep in them before making your selection.
Step 2: Choose your cushion
Having chosen the size of crate, you now need to pick the depth of cushion you wish to have. We offer two thicknesses; a very popular one-inch cushion and the extremely comfortable three-inch cushion.
The one-inch depth cushion is an amazing all-rounder. Sufficiently comfortable that people will enjoy sitting on them, but thin enough to ensure the seat crate can be used for other purposes, for instance, as an additional side table in the lounge.
The three-inch cushion provides a wonderfully soft seating experience, making them perfect for use in the garden and at parties.
Step 3: Choose your colour and fabric
The cushions for all of our Seat Crates are available in a choice of fabrics, including the new Seat Crate Cushion Cover Fabrics we announced recently. When choosing your fabric, consider where you are planning on using your Seat Crate. If you take the overall décor and colour scheme of the room you plan on using the Seat Crate in, that will help you determine which fabric will fit best.
Our Apple and Midi size Seat Crates are also available in a choice of colours, so you can really make them unique.

Step 4: Add some personalisation
All of our Seat Crates offer the option of adding a personal message to them. You can add a line of text per slat, meaning the Apple Crate can have two lines of wording, while the double crate can have up to four!
You simply choose the wording at the time you place the order and we take care of the rest!
